My Budding 15mm Sci-fi Collection I've been a bit erratic
with all my source material mulling around in my mind I mulled between wanting to recreate X-com specifically chimera squad in Tabletop format, to just running Starwars legion in small scale to finding new rules to explore the galaxy and the final front ear to the occasion bank job or info Heist! so gonna need ninjas for that..
So what do I want!? I want it all.. !
I'm aiming for generic counts as models on my 1st shop!
So I went shopping with the money saved not going to the pub or the club fees, tram fair petrol etc..
15mm is cheap but there is shipping to factor in and not finding all you want in 1 place
And I was a bit surprised by size differences!
So as a newbie to 15mm be sure to watch out for it.. I don't think its a deal breaker and in some cases its a positive
but gauging size from the website is hard to impossible! so I've thrown some comparisons below
these are all UK Online Shops
GZG Free Trader crew pack aka Firefly £3 (6 figures not all shown)
Heros sorted, they do roll a little small though but these guys are not armored
GZG Japanese Tech Ninjas £3 ( 8 figs )
I was watching Ghost in the shell and though yerh gonna need some tech suit Ninjas, i like cyberpunk! Appleseed, Altered carbon etc etc.
Sci-fi guys with guns and swords..
Another Style of Ninja from.. Mick Yarrow Cyber Ninjas (£2)
Slightly more classic ninja look with variety of close combat weapons.. looking like the making of infinity code 1 in 15mm
Ground Zero Games GZG Chitter Command £3
If hit a starport or alien world i'm gonna need more then humanoids! give me some "Falling Skies" Skitters! could be cool in a Dr Who pulp adventure too
Dr Who wise you mostly want melee monsters, they tend to like to get up close there are exceptions of course
GZG Alien Mercenary 12 figures aka Space Orcs £6 ( 1 leader and repeats of the other 2)
Again more generic foes here.. they looked beefy in the shoulder pads to say big dumb X-com Muton grunts, sadly no melee Mutons found yet...
some game i've had my eye on have enemy brackets these will be my minions common space goblins most encountered i think..
Khan Support Droid Mick Yarrow £1.20
Surprise find when looking for Star Trek Borgs, found ED209! so station security sourted!
not often mention this shop! Mick Yarrow
Im after a few more Turrets Droids and Tachioma but that will be a future shop if this 15mm phase sticks
Mick Yarrow War Bots Wrecking crew - got the wrong order wanted Zomborgs ( a they are a bit larger 25mm?)
usable large but usable.. boss style big dumb brute sadly these have guns the Zomborgs i wanted would have that muton feel i wanted or Borg depending on the size
I Also picked up some C-P Models
Alien Guards £3 for 6 ( they have 4 head types Demon, Lizard, fish or Mask)
and there Not trek Starship Crew
and
Alternative armies Urban Gangs
A few Size Comparisons aka examples in play
Crew vs Mercs
Mick Yarrow Wrecking Crew Warbots vs Crew
GzG Crew Vs Cp Models Alien Guard
Power Suit from Mick Yarrow miniatures Kremlin 15mm range CDC 3

Orcs Vs Crew
GzG Crew Vs Alternative Armies Urban Gang models
Gangers Vs Alien Guards
GZG Crew Vs CP Crew
Tiles are from Star wars Imperial Assault from FFG I was worried they would be to large but the seem just right!
I still have no 15mm scatter terrain so the images on the flat tiles will have to do for a while!
